Kejriwal  crossed limits of political deceit by claiming, Punjab CM had deposited a compensation of Rs 50,000 per acre to flood hit farmers: Sukhbir Badal

TARN TARAN: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal today said the politics of deceit of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had crossed all limits with it’s Convenor Arvind Kejriwal claiming in a public meeting in Gujarat that chief minister Bhagwant Mann had deposited Rs 50, 000 per acre compensation to all farmers whose crops had been damaged in the recent floods “which struck all 23 districts of the State”.

Speaking to media after addressing a number of enthusiastic public meetings in favour of party candidate Principal Sukhwinder Kaur Randhawa, the SAD president said “the very fact that Kejriwal did not flinch for an instant before speaking this lie proves that the entire politics of AAP is based on lies and deceit”. Asserting that this was not the first time Kejriwal had made a false claim about it’s government in Punjab, Mr Sukhbir Badal said “such lies will not convince the voters of other States to vote for AAP as everyone knows that the AAP government has failed on each and every promise made to the voters and that it’s regime is riddled with corruption and lawlessness”.

Badal also condemned Kejriwal for not prevailing upon chief minister Bhagwant Mann to release compensation to flood hit farmers. “No compensation has been paid to farmers for crop damage, damage to houses and death of livestock even as the AAP government has misappropriated Rs 12000 crore funds sent to it by the centre under the State disaster management head”. He said chief minister Bhagwant Mann had also reneged on his commitment to disburse certified wheat seed to flood hit farmers across five lakh acres of land.
